Hailing from the East New York/Brownsville section of Brooklyn, meet BOE & Villa . The duo became addicted to hip-hop as teens. With such influences as Kool G Rap, Rakim, EPMD and many of the pioneers that paved the way for them. The group released an album in japan titled “1019” under the groups former name “Ex-Prez” which recieved good reviews in Japan based “Front magazine”. The group then released an EP which featured there street single “Life Is Too Short”. They also appeared on Erick Sermons album “Erick Onasis” and the Funk Master Flex album “Flip Squad Allstars” track titled “Seriously” featuring Canibus. The group recieved good reviews in the Feb.99 issue of the Souce saying they were a force to be reckoned with. Since then they put out numerous street albums and recorded a number of songs with artist and producers such as Midi Mafia, Deemi, Marc G, Nef-U , Mario Winans, Jack Knight, Monifa, Akineli, Sean “Diesel” Wallace, Spinderella, Fabolous and Wyclef to name a few. BOE & VILLA recently releasred a street album titled “The Tsunami” follow the street album street album “Radio Advanced Poetry” With producers Domo, East, Needlez, Mr. Porter, Boom & Wit.
