Buffie the Body burst on the scene in 2005 accompanying Tony Yayo in his chart topping video “So Seductive”. Thrust into a world of glitz and glamour this small town country girl remembers her humble beginnings. Buffie the Body, born Buffie Carruth is the third child of seven children. She had a modest upbringing, raised by a single mother; she knew what it was to struggle. With that understanding, Buffie learned from the strength of a woman who taught her to set her goals high and to work hard to bring them into realization.

Holding a number of odd jobs before her modeling career launched, Buffie worked in the service industry for several years. It was however, a chance meeting in Baltimore with a photographer that changed the tides for Buffie. She has never shied away from hard work, remembering the example set by her mother. Struggle and perseverance has lent her a highly developed sense of humility and gratitude.

In the beginning, Buffie was hesitant to participate in her first photo shoot and even more so to construct a website. However the photographer, persistent in his wish to photograph the voluptuous Buffie, convinced her that a website would be an instant success. He saw something else in the extremely photogenic model, a certain hunger and charm.

A friend of Buffie’s, who was familiar with the modeling industry, eventually convinced her to explore this opportunity. However, he was unaware of the spectacular response she would get from her photos. Once they were placed into the right hands, her career took-off.

Buffie went from relative obscurity to voluptuous video vixen within the span of a few months. The launch of magazine layouts were on the newsstands which included: XXL, KING, SHADE 45, FEDS, Vibe, Source, and Black Men Magazine. The expansion of her website: http://www.buffiethebody.com became an instantaneous Internet sensation.

After her debut in the “So Seductive” video, assignments came cascading in: magazine spreads, leads in music videos, mix-tape hosting, movie rolls and requests for guest appearances. After the feature in the So Seductive video others followed suit, Buffie was then featured in Juelz Santana’s “Oh Yes”, & her current KaySlay’s “Can’t stop the reign” videos.

Buffie’s 2006 calendar began filling up and one booking followed by the next. Following up the calendar Buffie continued her hustle by shooting an independent bio DVD, Larger than Life offering an intimate look into the everyday of Buffie Carruth. She also landed her first promotional modeling assignment with Azzure Denim as well as gracing the Hollywood scene in the summer blockbuster “ATL” with rapper TI. From the Big screen to small screens everywhere, Buffie can also be seen on your cell phone having signed a ringtone deal with Zingy Inc.

Buffie aspires to be the name that you hear, see and love. Buffie “The Body” yearns to be a household name. As far as bodies go, one must admit “Ain’t no body, like Buffie the Body”. Stay tuned…..
