Alicia was all smiles as she pushed little Egypt in the swings while Nasir played around on his new scooter.

- Police Crack Down on Violent New Trend, "Knocking Out" (Blog)
A violent new trend amongst young people is sweeping the nation, called “knock out” or “knocking out,” with incidents being reported in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Chicago.
The brutal rules of the game include a group of young men or even boys as young as 12, and teenage girls in some cases, who choose a lead attacker and seek out a victim. The goal in the beating is not revenge or robbery. The victim is usually a random person unlikely to put up a fight. Many of the victims have been elderly people walking alone. The group then begins attacking the person until they are unconscious or badly hurt.
Experts say it’s a cry for attention.
“We know that juveniles don’t think out consequences clearly,” said Beth Huebner, an associate professor of criminology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. “They see something on YouTube and say, ‘I want to get that sort of attention, too.’ They don’t think about the person they’re attacking maybe hitting their head.”

- Bankruptcy Judge Orders Young Buck Into Liquidation (Blog) (@youngbuck)
Just one year after filing for bankruptcy Young Buck is being forced into liquidation, after his bankruptcy trustee says that he “no longer has a viable shot at reorganizing.”
He originally filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, but is now on the brink of Chapter 7 liquidation, which will lead to all of his assets being sold and distributed among his creditors.
Since the beginning of the year his trustee has been hard at work to help Buck escape bankruptcy by attempting to modify his recording contract with 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records and distribution contract with Universal Music Group. However, both groups have opposed the plan.
“At this time, because no agreement has been reached with G-Unit and Curtis Jackson regarding either assumption or rejection for the recording agreement and/or the publishing agreement, the first amended plan cannot be confirmed. The trustee believes and therefore asserts that there is no reasonable likelihood of reorganization at this point.”
Buck is scheduled for a hearing on January 30, where it will be determined whether all of his assets will be completely liquidated. He also has the option of asking the court to exempt certain assets from bankruptcy and to release him from certain debts.

It’s always given that the US Postal Service will be overwhelmed during the holidays and some of your gifts may be late. However, that doesn’t explain one woman’s package showing up over a YEAR later!
Mary Beth Mauldin sent a priority cross-country Christmas gift to her mother in Winter Beach 371 days ago, which included a nightgown with red birds on it. Mauldin said it was “really over the top,” and cardinals were a family favorite.
Mauldin’s mother said she laughed at the incident, but Mauldin was no doubt angry about the delivery.

But Denise, wisely, believes Kim Kardashian may have ulterior motives when it comes to Reggie.
“For Reggie’s sake, Denise put on a smiling face when he dated Kim in the past, but she was never a fan of her or any of the Kardashians,” confided a friend.
“Denise was horrified when Reggie first brought Kim home to meet the family in late 2007 because it was after her infamous adult video with ex-boyfriend Ray J hit the Internet.
“Momma Bush wants her son to settle down with a wholesome, religious woman who’s out of the spotlight.
“Denise wants nothing to do with the Kardashian name or fame, and she made that clear to Reggie over dinner one night when he told her Kim had reached out to him.
“She told Reggie not to take her back and added, ‘She’s NO good for you!'”

Lady Gaga’s former assistant Jennifer O’Neill had to break free of the pop superstar’s chains that bound her for nearly a year.
O’Neill claims that Mother Monster was an absolute nightmare to work for, having to cater to her every whim day and night. She was in charge of Gaga’s schedule, finances and food, but says that her daily duties were pushed to their limits when she had to ensure “the promptness of a towel following a shower and serving as a personal alarm clock to keep [Gaga] on schedule.”
The former assistant also claims that she was never allowed a break for meals and sometimes sleep, as she had to be on hand at weird hours of the night and at Gaga’s “earliest waking hour.”
O’Neill’s qualms with Gaga are part of a lawsuit she filed in Manhattan federal court last week against the superstar’s Mermaid Touring company for $380,000 in unpaid overtime.

They met up for a charity event for Sweet Blackberry, a foundation founded by Karyn.
Will eagerly shared the photo with his fans on facebook saying, “Got the Holiday season started right with a “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” reunion…there’s nothin’ like spending Holidays with fam!”
Sadly missing from the reunion were Joseph Marcell, who played the Banks’ butler Geoffrey, and the two actresses who played Aunt Viv throughout the seasons.

Nicole had a less than stellar season hosting X-Factor as a replacement for Cheryl Cole, and it seems that now she feels that her music career is more important than her television career. She recently released a statement explaining her reasons.
“Next year for me, it’s about my music. This has been quite a learning experience, quite a journey for me. I didn’t expect to have been so emotional through the whole elimination process. I wanted to just mentor and empower artists. I’m used to being on stage and performing and singing for people and people cheering for me. I am an artist first, not a judge first. The reason [my album] hasn’t come out yet is because of The X Factor. It’s been so time consuming. I work with these contestants six days a week. So I delayed the album, but I was able to perform one of my new singles last week. I really want to find the right roles and the right opportunities in acting. Theater is actually what I studied in college.”
Many are wondering why Nicole wouldn’t stay on the show where she would get more publicity for her album.
